This is our introductory issue of the Drs. Newman, Blackstock, and Associates Quarterly Update. It's the beginning of 2008, and we are expanding our patient education materials to include these periodic updates. Are you and your family due for an eye examination? Contact one of our locations to schedule an appointment. If your insurance provider has changed, please notify us as your benefits likely changed. 
Our new Salem, VA location opened back in December. The first month has been exciting, and we appreciate the support of all our new and established patients. As always our offices continue to accept new patients. Dr. Steigerwald is currently seeing patients on Tuesday and Friday from 8:30am to 4:30pm, and Thursday 8:30am to 6:30pm. Currently there is 1 Saturday per month in which either Dr. Steigerwald or Dr. Conner will be seeing patients. Monday and Wednesday will be open from 8:30am to 5:00pm. Please call our office at (540) 444-5656 to schedule your appointment. Definity Progressive Lenses: A new patented design allows for a wider reading and intermediate viewable zone. Have you had trouble adapting to progressive lenses in the past? Ask our staff how this lens may help you. The definity lens combined with the newsest Crizal Non-glare treatments will provide the best visual experience whether you are an avid reader or stare at a computer all day. Frames: Vera Bradley and RayBan prescription and sunglass styles available at every location. In addition to these new styles, we continue to get new frames from brands such as Nike, Nautica, Coach, Converse, Tura, Lacoste, and many more. Contact Lenses: New contact lenses are consistently brought to market. The newest advances are being made in contact lens health and comfort. If you've tried contacts in the past have had limited success,
or you've been told that contacts are not for you, then see one of our doctors about how this new technology could help you. The shape of your eyes, your prescription, and lifestyle, will dictate which lenses your doctor
will recommend.  At Drs. Newman, Blackstock, and Associates P.C. we strive to provide quality vision care to people of all ages throughout Southwest and Central Virginia.
Our 6 Doctors of Optometry are licensed to diagnose and manage all diseases and conditions of the eye including: Cataracts, Glaucoma, Macular Degeneration, Dry Eye, and Ocular Allergies.
We also participate with area LASIK surgeons by providing pre- and post-refractive surgery co-management. |
